A lot of people are wondering why we have so much disease in our society. Researchers are starting to look at things that are in our control over why we’re developing all of these things in our bodies which end up killing us early.
Obviously, nobody who wants to live a long and healthy life wants to develop a disease and die early. But sometimes, we might not even be aware that we’re poisoning our bodies on a daily basis. One of the biggest contributors that science is starting to look at for all diseases is our dietary habits.
Many of us live in a society where we eat foods which don’t resemble anything similar to what our bodies are designed to eat. Many of the foods we eat are closer in composition to that of the cardboard box that they’re contained in than natural healthy foods that we evolved to consume.
This TED talk discusses the importance of dietary habits in living a healthy, disease free life. Enjoy:
